Meeting Minutes - April 11, 2006

The Awards Banquet- April 18th at 7:00pm in NEB 100 

• There will be food provided by the department :-)
•  RSVP by tomorrow, Wednesday 4/12/06-there will be a sign up sheet on the bulletin board
•  Please come if you can!!
• Sign up to help as well-carrying food and cleanup
•  This will count towards active membership status
•  Members filled out nomination forms as well (Officer and general body meeting)-if you need to give it later, please give to Rob or JP (in their mailboxes)

 Fundraiser-Postponed to next Thursday, 6-7pm at the Coldstone on Newberry Rd.

•  Please come and bring all your friends!!

 Luncheon with a recruiter from Fluor Thursday ~11:30am,      Location TBA

 End of the Year Social-needs to be approved by Dean Earle, possible ideas:

• Barbeque at Lake Wauburg
• Lunch behind the ChemE building
• A lunch/barbeque at one of the fields on campus
• It will be funded by BEC since AIChE won the E-Bowl J

 AIChE needs to increase its industry sponsorship

•  Phone calls
•  Letters to industry

Tropicana Plant Tour

•  Please don’t sign up and not attend, unless you have a good excuse and give enough advance notification
• Consequences to officers who signed up and did not attend

• To all who present on behalf of AIChE-please get permission from the president/VP beforehand

  Nominations for officers due today

• Give nominations to JP
• He will check that you are eligible
• E-Fair and ChemE Car Chair are appointed-please fill out a form if interested
• The exec officers will review
• New position-Constitution and Bylaws Chair-appointed position

Constitution-Some minimal changes were made to the Constitution

• Changes and final copy will be emailed out to the undergrad list
•  If any questions, email JP

•  Treasurer report – did not occur
•  The end of the meeting was used for officer nominations
