Meeting Minutes - February 7, 2006

• Biery Room - We are still waiting on the department to open up the room, but we are working on a new laser printer for the room!

Regionals:

•  Just got our reservations in!  There will be 5 people per room and 6 per van.  There are 5 spots left so sign up while you still can!  Checks are due by 2/21 in the AIChE mailbox.
  
•  Career fair-deadline to submit resume is 2/21, there will also be grad schools there!  An excellent opportunity for all!

• E-Fair-Feb 21st and 22nd.  There will be a meeting in CHE 430 this Saturday, 2/11.
  
•  E-Bowl-Contact Katie to participate in this awesome jeopardy-style competition.  All teams have the chance to win prizes for their club!  There will be a team test Feb 15.
  
•  ChemE Car-The fuel cells and hydrogen generators are on their way now. Contact Mike or Keith to help out!
  

 Professor Awards Ceremony - Contact JP or Rob to help out. We will be giving out awards to Professors and TA's.

      The awards will be in the following categories:

•  Best New Professor/TA
•  Best Established Professor/TA
•  Most Student/AIChE interaction
•  Most Readily Available
•  Most Enthusiastic
•  Recognition to Dr. Curtis, Dr. Dickinson, Dr. Block (Lifetime Achievement/Dedication Award), and to Cynthia.
•  Questionnaires will be made and handed out to all ChemE classes. 
•  Awards will be given by classification: 3EG, 4EG and 5EG

•  Join AIChE Nationals!!!
•  Get Involved!!!

 Additional Announcements:

•  The Engineering Ambassadors will be holding a Leadership Forum on February 18th.  Participants get a free T shirt and lunch.  There may be a small fee.  Contact Margie Williams in Weil 312.
  
•  Come to the ChemE conference room Wed, 2/8 to help found the Chemical Engineering Honor Society or contact Matt Greene.
