"RACED, which stands for Rapid Attainment of College
Engineering Diversity, is an event geared towards engineers and promotes
the exposure of other disciplines of engineering available at UF in a
fun (and slightly competitive) atmosphere. It is not uncommon to work in
multidisciplinary groups in industry and academia. By participating in
RACED, you become more exposed to these other disciplines as well as
build a social network within the engineering community.
It is a campus-wide event where teams of 4-5 members compete by
completing engineering based activities at specific booths located
around campus. Teams consisting of multidisciplinary members are
strongly recommended and may provide an advantage throughout the event.
Clues will be provided once the activity is completed for the team to
figure out where to go next. Whichever team arrives at the final
location after completing all the booth activities sequentially will win
the race.
T-shirts and lunch are included in the registration fee of $10. T-shirts
are picked up the day of the event during team registration and lunch is
provided at the final location.
Participants should expect there to be physical activity outdoors, such
as running.
Please submit payment in the designated location at ChE 227 or contact Leanna by 5:00 pm, October 30th.
